Luo Minli's work is interesting and he is clearly an expressionist. It means that he emphasize the subjective expression of the artist's inner experiences. The "Expressionist Movement" in the west doesn't exist any more but expressionism in art is still fully valuable. In China artist have their very own way of creativity.

　　Time is needed to enter Luo's work. Time brings the soft expression of his work to an intense life. It is a work of subtleties and meditation. Each of his painting deserve a long standstill, so that we can grasp the full meaning of it.

　　Luo's colors are as soft as the general expression of his paintings, unlike the sometimes aggressive expressionists paintings in the "West". His colors are very carefully chosen, full of "nuances". The colors in his paintings are chosen in function of the goal he has chosen to fulfill.

　　His strokes are spontaneous as is the Chinese art in general and he will let them on the canvas in a way that should seem in the "West" unfinished, but this is not the case with the meaning of his painted strokes, they are finished.

　　It is in his compositions that you can find his full strengths. They are very well studied and balanced. His inner world is very strong and deserve all the attention we give to his paintings.

　　We can say that Luo is without doubt an important artist of our time and he shows very well the vivacity, intensity, power and reflection of the actual artists in China.
